Math and Science opens young, curious minds to explore the world. Students can attend workshops that spark their interest and help build innovative thinking. Sessions encourage problem solving, teamwork and creative thinking. Students will make connections between real life technology and the Ontario curriculum.

Computer & Technology Based Workshops

In this modern and fast paced world, efficiency with computers is an essential skill for children.  A variety of courses are offered to appeal to all age groups and interests.  This year, EnrichIt! will offer courses in:

  • Video game creation
  • Comic book creation

Arts & Drama

According to the Ontario Arts Curriculum, learning through the arts fosters integration of a student's sensory, cognitive, emotional and motor capabilities. Students can take take part in a variety of workshops to promote dexterity, hand-eye coordination and building on their knowledge of the curriculum.  Give your child an opportunity to participate in: 

  • Visual Arts Mississauga workshops (variety of medium)
  • Young Rembrants (power of drawing)
  • Theatre Games and Drama
  • Jewelry making, stain glass and embroidery

It is well known that physical education has numerous benefits for physical and mental health. Furthermore, current research shows that physical activity can also help children learn better. A wide variety of physical education activities will be offered to boost fitness and encourage healthy living.

Leadership, Life Skills & Safety

EnrichIt! aims to create leaders and strong members of Canadian society.  A variety of courses will be offered to cater to the whole child such as:

 

  • The Kids 4 Kids Leadership Program.  Using cooperative games, stories, role plays and discussions, best selling author Scott Graham captivates and inspires children to pursue their personal best.  Topics will include: Characteristics of a Leader: Integrity, Initiative, Responsibility, Respect, Anti bullying strategies, anger management, peer pressure and homework strategies that work.
  • Study Skills workshops
  • Child safety seminars (bullying, internet safety, stranger awareness)

Character Education

In today's world, skills and degrees aren't enough to guarantee success; students need character!  A variety of sessions will be offered to help  your kids get an edge and, more important, help each one become their very best self.  Joel Hilchey is one of the speakers in January.  He is a leadership expert and focuses on character development for life and academic success.  He has spoken to thousands of students, educators, and businesses across North America.
